During our grandmothers’ time, silk would come from France, wool from England, frills from Switzerland, and lace from Belgium.  Today, this is not the case.  In any part of the world, precious textures are made that leave us breathless because of their beauty.  And lace, a favorite of princesses and queens through time, is now manufactured in France...in Bangladesh...in Lebanon...in India...and even in our countries.  Technology allows for this texture to be explored to the maximum, discovering that although traditional lace continues on the warpath, now the great couturiers of the world throw out the red carpet, and with great imagination they break them down to create very modern textures that arrive to us in cloth, tulle and silks to create innovative designs.  Different elements are used in them, managing that they arrive to us loaded with nostalgia...that they be wonderfully modern, marking that in the XXI Century... everything is possible!

Lace is like a caress to the skin...it is sumptuous but also versatile...elegant...and dramatic.  Presently it is used during the day as well as during the evening...because it is made in cotton...silk...or tulle...The color is no longer limited to the classic black, white or beige.  It is now bright and in red...as well as in turquoise...or emerald green...it drives us crazy because it emphasizes that all is possible in fashion.

In the last collections seen in Paris, Milan and New York, lace reigned like never before.  A simple little shoulder strap dress acquires a new allure...ideal for an afternoon at the club, or a dinner a deux...A gala design becomes a unique one...perfect for a triumphant entrance, when edged with great imagination.

The masters of the moment like ELIE SAAB, ZUHAIR MURAD, VALENTINO and OSCAR DE LA RENTA offered creations out of the ordinary...that are favorable...feminine...sexy...but always standing out because of its beauty and great elegance.  They make dressing a pleasure...as it should be!  In addition, it allows us women to send a personal message...that we keep up with fashion...but we know how to choose with good taste.
