Amid all this chaos and COVID-19 finally declared as a pandemic, all the governments of states are strictly recommending their citizens to wear masks out in public. At first, there is no need to go out unless it is absolutely important. People are observing social distancing and isolation all across the world since COVID-19 can spread through close human contact. The virus is moderately lethal for middle-aged people but extremely dangerous and has a high mortality rate among the elderly.
Due to the scarcity of standard N95 masks that are authorized to prevent people from COVID-19, governments are encouraging people to make their DIY masks. Now, experts are suggesting ways and methods in which people can create their DIY masks, and also, the word is around that experts are also suggesting the suitable fabric for them.

The suitable and best fabric
A neoprene mask or a cotton mask is highly effective under such circumstances if made properly. Also, researchers have said that the combination of chiffon or natural silk with cotton can be turned out into a really good fabric material for DIY masks. The main purpose of wearing a mask in such a situation is to cover the mouth and nose so that aerosol particles won’t enter.
Rex Fabrics is providing good quality standard fabric for a DIY mask that fits in the requirements suggested by experts and researchers. In places like Miami, you can also find fashion masks in different fashion stores that will get along with your daily outfit as well. CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies), especially in areas of significant community-based transmission.
CDC also advises the use of simple cloth face coverings to slow the spread of the virus and help people who may have the virus and do not know it from transmitting it to others. Cloth face coverings fashioned from household items or made at home from common materials at low cost can be used as an additional, voluntary public health measure.
Cloth face coverings should not be placed on young children under age 2, anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated, or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance.
The cloth face coverings recommended are not surgical masks or N-95 respirators. Those are critical supplies that must continue to be reserved for healthcare workers and other medical first responders, as recommended by current CDC guidance.
