At worldwide level, one of the most important events is “The Week of Fashion” in New York, one of the most awaited for events to see the Masters of fashion and their runways gathered. Here, it is a constant presentation of celebrities and the enjoyment of the artistic work that the most famous designers of fashion have been able to create.
The new innovative trends are displayed on the runways for the nest season of Fall and Winter 2013-2014, and the color black takes again its center as the basic color and it reigns once again with the diverse collections, chosen by the stylists. This fashion display placed at the top the greatest haute couture designers with their creations and inspirations.
Alexander Wong’s own seal, was centered on the display of textures where furs, leathers and wools were joined to lead the great creations of this artist, who excelled on the runways with oversize garments of very softened lines, with skirts and pants, pleated garments, leather boxing gloves, socks in the light, flat shoes and a display on the palette of colors where grey, brown and black stand out.
Max Azia becomes, once again, one of the preferred trends with his mixture of different garments and covering up the female silhouette with voluminous dresses in wool, die-casted fabrics, prints, furs, intermingled geometric designs, yet light designs, that could be covered with a great coat for the cold season. His trend is that of long dresses, fur and leather jackets where black and brown are predominant, leather ankle boots and flat grey shoes.
Anna Sui stood out because of his psychedelic and bohemian world, a retro that took us back to the 70's; using prints in all colors, mixing with metallic colors and a mixture of fabrics where the main features are wool, tweed and hair. The details of her creations, the baby collar, and baby doll dresses. Details of unicolor and printed knee length socks. Her trend is in the color red and its overtones, predominantly in her designs.
Jason Wu showed his fashion show with great profusion of furs, displaying great volume in his designs, but very well marked waist and with much femininity. His designs stood out for his asymmetric cut, pleated fabrics and special relevance on manufacture of prints, animal prints and laces. The palette colors for this designer were black and white, including the brown orange color.
Tommy Hilfiger, recovered his English style of the 60's and 70's and he stamped the preppy style to his men’s fashion show. This famous designer introduced other colors, in addition to the traditional ones, like the Prince of Wales, prints and crow-feet, like mustard, oversize cross-stitched sweaters and plaid, black and white rhombus’ and diplomatic stripes that developed a more urban style. The tie and hat took over the leading role.
