Very few men take their image into concern as much as women, mainly because of the false belief that vanity is something for women and that by worrying about looking good they would lose their virility.
No man gets away from the desire to shine and to stand out among others due to their competitive nature.
No one can avoid projecting their image, our body conveys it all the time, and therefore, why not take care of it and project the message we want in order to achieve our goals and objectives easier. Through this article, Rex Fabrics will guide you through the steps to choose the suit that best suits you and the rules that you should follow to dress with elegance and style.
There’s a false belief that any man dressed in a tailored suit automatically looks good. This is not always the case, however. Why? Because not even the best tailored suits will fit anybody properly if several details that project elegance and style are ignored.
In this article we’re going to share some insightful tips on what details to look out for in order to make a tailored suit look sensational, elegant and stylistic . Statistics show that only 1 of every 5 men know how to dress appropriately in a formal way.
Rule #1: The color: The most appropriate colors for business suits are Navy Blue, Oxford Gray and Black. You should primarily use only black during meetings, where you are the focus of attention, or in the evening.
In warm climates, choose light colors such as grey or beige.
Rule #2: Size - Any suit won’t look as desired if the size is incorrect. It can’t be too loose nor too tight. When the suit is too tight, it takes away professionalism and elegance.
Rule #3: The appropriate length:
A). In regards to the length as seen from the side, the jacket and the pants should have the same height. If this isdisregarded, the legs will look shorter or the measurement from the shoulder to the waist will look too long.
B) The length of the jacket - The jacket should reach the height of the first phalange of the thumb (with the arm stretched down the side of the body). This is a very important detail in order to make the suit look correct.
- The appropriate length of the jacket’s sleeve.
This is one of the most common mistakes when wearing executive suits. Whether it be that the jacket’s sleeve is shorter or longer than it should be. Any of the two mistakes can ruin the suit.
The elegance in this point is marked at where the jacket’s sleeve should reach the height of the wrist bone and allow the shirt stick out an additional ½ inch.
Rule #4: The length of the Tie.
As usual not too long nor too short, the appropriate length that the tie should have in order to look elegant should be at the height of the belt buckle.
Rule #5: The Belt.
One of the most important accessories in the elegance and style of the suit, is the belt, which should be made of leather and the same color as the shoes. The rule requires that the adjustment of the buckle should be on the first or second hole of the belt.
Rule #6: The Shoes.
Neglecting the shoes will ruin all of the above points. The rule is that the shoes should always be impeccably polished. The best color is black for dark suits, and brown for light suits. Make sure they are all leather, with perforated leather soles.
Follow these rules carefully and you will wear your specially tailored suit with unparalleled elegance and style.
