Leather is always in fashion, but it will be seen much more during the coming season… as the best-known designers have brought it into play and created the most marvelous pieces one can imagine.

Women impose a powerful attitude wearing leather, whether it’s a jacket, pants or skirt of the finest skin, in light colors as well as dark; but always in a trendy mode, with high leather boots... sometimes even reaching the thigh!... or heels, that create a very flirtatious and sensual style. These are avant-garde designs... modern... dramatic... flashy... and very sexy indeed! And why not? That’s how the 2013-2014 Woman is. Right?

This autumn-winter season, as an indispensable feature of the collections, leather gives the figure a stylized silhouette. Skirts are either short or long, jackets are very sensual, and even if some are close-fitting, others are fuller and more comfortable. Sometimes matched with skirts and others with pants, it’s the star of this trend and leads the way of this fashion tendency.

When it’s short, it’s flirtatious and sensual... If it’s a classic skirt, it’s ideal for the business world... and the long ones hide those extra pounds and even some defects.

Personally, I adore leather... I love the black garments, but I have learned to respect the wine or red colored tones... I am fascinated by the new blue hues that I’ve begun to see around the streets of New York, and now I’m also mad for the grey pieces... in all shades and hues! All the fashion writers are calling it “the new black.”

We have even seen beautiful leather cocktail attires for this coming season… as much fun as flirtatious. It’s all about the mood you are in… And these fine leather apparels are so essential that it’s not enough to just have one or two pieces… we need several of them...! each one more dreamy and sensual than the other.

The most sensational full black coatdresses with huge belts were shown at GIANFRANCO FERRE’s and they are simply… divine! HERMES also followed the trend of essential belts, and his straight black skirt is matched with a fabulous one, combined with a very simple white blouse edged in black.

MICHAEL KORS also preferred this color for his suits, which sport the most delicious zippers, and skirts with tantalizing openings. J.MENDEL ensembles are simply... heaven! Jackets are close-fitted and quilted and have been paired with long, straight skirts. And PACO RABANNE opted for dresses also in black, embellished with buttons and long sleeves that will make us not only look thinner, but also will exude sensuality.

LOEWE launched wonderful tailored suits in dark blood red color, whose beauty leaves one breathless, while FENDI chose royal blue as the color for the season. They score a point when matching the asymmetrical jackets with white skirts and accessorizing it with huge two-tone bags.

GUCCI opted for grays, and his two-piece outfits are cut and fitted to perfection. And, for the cocktail hour, we have the black leather one-shoulder fashions shown by the house of VERSACE, whose sensational fit fulfills its mission of highlighting the curves in a very sexy and especially elegant way. It’s the perfect choice for dancing to the bright stars and light of the silvery moon. Who is willing?
