FASHION STYLE AND ADVICE – TIPS ON HOW TO LOOK CHIC

Ironically for fashion stores, we at eLabelz and Rex Fabrics do not believe in selling fashion. Although we do believe each one of you is a fashionista is his/her unique way. And these two of our beliefs are very closely knitted together.

Fashion or style is not what you see on a ramp walk or at a red carpet event. All of that is mostly just the ‘work’ of people employed in the fashion industry. It is their perception and inclination of what would look good on the majority of the people. You are, by no means, bound to follow in their footsteps.

Fashion has roots deep inside each one of us. We all have our likes and dislikes when it comes to colors, patterns, fittings, and fabrics. When these choices are crafted out on a piece of fabric, they become clothes of your choice, your preferred fashion, and your signature style.

Luckily enough, you don’t necessarily need a certification from a fashion school to design clothes or ensembles for yourself. Therefore, you mustn’t ever hold back in exploring ‘your fashion’.

One way we can help you get to the core of your style and fashion is by giving you certain indications; indications to point you in the right direction. Just hints that you can incorporate with your own taste in clothes and accessories and look exactly the kind of ‘chic’ you had aspired to look since forever.

Let’s begin!

Dress in Three Colors at a

Not only would it make dressing a lot quicker and more convenient for you, it would also side by side bring your chic game up by quite a few notches. You can easily pick out three related colors from your wardrobe and put them together in your ensemble for the day. However, while at it, remember the following:

  • White may or may not count as one of your colors. If one of the two major components of your attire is white, you can add a fourth color without messing up the overall aesthetic.
  • Busy prints count as a single color, the one most prominent. If your top is bursting with a busy print, try to keep the pants plain and single colored.

Dressing in three colors gives you the flexibility to wear busy prints and multiple patterns at the same time, as long as you’re keeping the prominent colors to a maximum of three.

Invest in Timeless Rather than Trendy Accessories

The thing about accessories is that they breathe life into your entire ensemble. And for some reason, the more antique your accessories are, the more chic vibes you emanate. Rather than investing mindlessly into trends that won’t survive another season, go for accessories that will complement your outfits, regardless of seasons and occasions.

Incorporate Popular Trends

By investing in timeless accessories, we did not mean to rule out contemporary trends for you. A balance could be achieved by blending together the two. A true chic look must give off a glimpse of the person’s inner calling and his/her signature style statement, all the while catching up with the hottest trends in town.

Reaching a balance between the two is really not rocket science. All you got to do is…

Layer it up!

Our final word on personal chic style would be that you focus on creating an rather than individual pieces of clothing. Decide your look for the day and then start putting together separate pieces.

A well-defined, well-carried-out chic look would have visible layers. And each layer would be in perfect sync with the other, complementing, almost completing each other.
